"The Living Matrix" mixes new science, recovery stories, and 3D motion graphics to take the provocative discussion of quantum physics, energy fields, and consciousness and apply it to health and healing. It is the first documentary film to bring together academic and independent researchers, practitioners, and science journalists whose work reveals scientific evidence that energy and information fields, not genetics, control health and wellbeing.

Through in-person interviews and dramatized video vignettes that document the stories of people who recovered from chronic illness – including a five-year-old boy born with cerebral palsy, an osteopathic doctor with a brain tumor, and a housewife bedridden with chronic fatigue syndrome – the film demonstrates the effectiveness of bioenergetic medicine where traditional medicine has not succeeded.

The medical revolution is here, and it’s here to stay! Featuring almost two-dozen innovative researchers, authors, and health practitioners from North America and Europe, The Living Matrix presents the science behind a whole new model for wellness. More than just a model, it is a paradigm that is transforming conventional medicine all over the world.

The concept of the body’s self-healing capacity isn’t new, nor is the idea that there is an information flow within and around the body, which significantly contributes to our state of well being – the Chinese have been practicing acupuncture for two thousand years based on the body’s energy system, and Hindu’s have been mapping consciousness for even longer. Today, the integration of science, technology, and new consciousness is revealing a “field-based” model of the body, with branches of research that include thought field therapy, epigenetics, morphogenetic fields, emotional release therapy, biophotonics, heart-brain body intelligence, and more. Equally significant, each of us can easily learn to access and adjust this field of information that is not bound by space and time. Understanding how disease happens, how such “information” is transferred, and how to work with this information appears to be an optimal healing system that addresses information/energetic “disturbances” on all levels: physically, emotionally and spiritually—sometimes with instantaneous and permanent results.

The more we are exposed to such concepts, the more we understand them, and the more we have personal experience of them, the more they become part of the culture and mainstream consciousness. This full length film is doing a great service by bringing such enlightening and empowering ideas to light, and is definitely worth adding to your library so that you can watch it many times over and share it with your friends and loved ones.

Getting a handle on the new energy medicine/healing and the people behind it all is much easier once you see this movie. It has a cast of people like Lynne McTaggert, Eric Pearl, Bruce Lipton and others who explain the various types of new discoveries being made about how our bodies work and heal.
Well put together and entertaining at the same time, this is the perfect gift to give someone who doesn’t believe in anything other than conventional medicine. It is a mind-opener and could help people have more willingness to consider complementary healing modalities. Even if you are accepting of these ideas, having them organized as they are in this movie makes it even more fascinating and welcomed.

My background: I have an engineering background and have embraced a variety of body/mind disciplines in the last five years. I now blog about the physics of our structure at floatingbones.com.

I found the movie very stylish and professionally-produced. When I saw the film theatrically, I was overwhelmed by the amount of information. After watching the movie repeatedly on DVD, I wrote a review: http://floatingbones.com/?p=92 .

The film claims to be about science. Science is evidence-based and uses the scientific method ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_method ). The last step in the scientific method is the written publication of results.

This movie fails to provide a single reference linking physics (quantum or otherwise) to our health and well-being. Neither the DVD nor the movie's website provide links to what one of the film's experts calls a "viable scientific theory". The breakdown is even more fundamental than this: no theories/predictors are provided, and no theory/predictor is ever tested in the film. Anyone who understands the scientific method should be baffled how anyone can claim that new science has been created.

While there is little science, there is much speculation. Most of the speculation is centered around "the field". All sorts of things are cited as evidence for "the field", including the case studies. The argument goes something like, "We don't understand how this works, therefore ... quantum physics must be involved!" That is not the way that science works!

Some of the things that "require" quantum physics are totally nonsensical. Dieter Cimbal, DVM, claims that direction shifts in flocks of birds are "instantaneous" (and only a "field" could explain how they could shift instantly). Actually, scientists have measured that direction shifts are NOT instantaneous; how the birds manage to do it is rather remarkable. I discussed the science in detail in a second blog entry: http://floatingbones.com/?p=171 .

Another major argument for "the field" is specialization of cells in a developing embryo. Another expert in the movie argues that "the field" is the only possible explanation. That is false: a 2006 scientific paper proposes a far simpler mechanism for cellular specialization in the developing embryo. I provide links to that paper in my review.

No direct evidence for a quantum physics "field" impacting our health is ever presented. None of the experts are physicists. No links to any published scientific papers linking quantum physics to are health are provided, Yet expert after expert talks about this thing as if it's real (i.e. evidence-based). For a film to claiming to be about science, this is unconscionable behavior.

A major irony is that real science is indeed happening in alternative health/healing. Many scientists are publishing papers. I personally follow fascial research in detail ( see www.fasciacongress.com ) and have a sense of wonders of the discoveries happening in that field.

I'd welcome further comment here or on my blog. Thank you.
