Editorial Reviews

We are looking for experienced reviewers to join our editorial review team. This is an important role in NCR, and some excellent benefits are attached to it.

Even if you aren't experienced but are a good writer and love to read, we would love to have you try out as a volunteer reviewer. You will expand your library while contributing to the community.

If you'd like to be considered, please email us at reviews@ncreview.com, and include

a sample review using the guidelines below:

1.    Title, Author, and your star ratings on the three parameters of style, content and consciousness.

2.    Your name, e-mail address and mailing address (for review copies)

3.    Please paste the reviews in the body of the email with the word REVIEW in the email's subject line. We do not accept attached files.

Welcome to our circle of volunteers! We look forward to receiving your review efforts!

An Open Invitation to Magazine and E-zine Publishers!

Give your reviews wider exposure and contribute them to NCR too! If you have a web site and/or magazine aligned with our areas of focus, find out about the benefits of joining our Affiliate Network.  Follow this link to find out more.

If you are unsure of how to write a review or would like to hone your reviewer skills, here are some suggestions on how to look at a book. Don’t try to cover all the points; just get some ideas:

  • Why did you select this particular book for review?
  • How well does the author write, hold the reader’s interest, inspire the reader, etc. Use a brief quotation from the book itself to illustrate your observations, opinions, and comments.
  • Who is the book for?
  • Does the book succeed in what the author is trying to accomplish? Does it entertain, instruct, persuade, inform, teach, alarm, etc.?
  • What is the author's background? What other titles has the author written?
  • Make it as long or as short as you feel is necessary to say what should be said.
  • Above all, have a good time with it, so take a book you liked and give reviewing a try!
