In her latest book of supernatural, true-life mystery, Linda Alice Dewey is contacted by a ghost named Jacobs. Jacobs is a runaway slave who was brutally murdered during the Civil War. Using Jacobs s own words, Dewey tells Jacobs s gripping story of being a slave, a fugitive, a vagrant in nineteenth-century America and his "life" as The Ghost Who Would Not Die.

After Jacobs is murdered, his ghost congregates with other ghosts, plays tricks on people, and wanders aimlessly through middle America.Eventually, he begins to help the living by telepathically influencing their thoughts and, ultimately, attaching himself to Dewey and her son. Dewey helps Jacobs to "cross over" and find the peace and freedom that was denied him in life and during the first hundred years after his death.

The Ghost Who Would Not Die is a gripping, Civil War era tale, as well as a well-told, true ghost story that is sure to appeal to readers interested in the supernatural and life after death.

Here is another compelling supernatural mystery from Linda Alice Dewey, an established channel and medium, and the author of Aaron's Crossing, in which she described her first experiences with helping ghosts "cross over". If you can accept the premise that the book is indeed a true story communicated to Dewey by the ghost of a runaway slave from the time of the Civil War, then it is even more fascinating on a number of levels.

Linda Alice Dewey is an established channel and medium and a talented writer, and The Ghost Who Would Not Die is a compelling read. If one accepts the premise that the book is indeed a true story communicated to her by the ghost of a runaway slave from the time of the Civil War, then it is even more fascinating on a number of levels.

One is at the human level, where the first-hand perspective of the experience of slavery and the flight to physical freedom offer non-trivial insights into the challenges of finding your place and your purpose in a complex world. The second is the harder battle for freedom of the spirit, where Dewey conveys the forces at work in other dimensions on behalf of the soul's struggle for wisdom and to return to the source. The third facet relates to the workings of the spirit world and the afterlife, and how to deal with ghosts, helping them move on “to the light” or invoking angels to make them go away. At whatever level you read the book, you should enjoy it immensely.
