Loved this interview! Thank you for introducing me to Dain Heer.
Donna Eden's energy medicine books are my favorites. They are well written and interesting to read, blending science and new energy teachings. The exercises are well-described, easy to do, and health-enhancing. Illustrations clearly how to do exercises. Worth reading.
I adore the writing of Madeleine L'Engle. I read the Wrinkle in Time books multiple times as a child. When I reread as an adult, I was delighted with the beautiful writing and deeply mystical elements of the books.
If you read these as a child and want more L'Engle, I recommend her Crosswick Chronicles starting with Circle of Quiet. See how an author, wife, mother, store-owner made it all work.
What I liked: I love reading a good story and this is a good story of a renowned healer. We are privy to learning about his transformation and the miracles he experienced along the way.
What I didn't like: There is no how to. To learn the Reconnection Method, you must take his course and be activated. This does not resonate with me.
In The Yoga of Sound, we learn that there are 64 meridian points on the hard palate and 20 on the soft palate. When we chant, we stimulate these points, affecting the pituitary glad, the hypothalamus, and thus our physical and emotional bodies.
This alone is reason to read and learn. Full of fascinating information and great exercises.
As a neuroscientist, Jill Bolte Taylor understands exactly what is happening when she has a stroke. This is Jill's story from the day of the stroke and through her healing process. Unique perspective, beautifully told. With drawings that help non-scientists understand the story and the brain.
Children transformed me. Now I Live.
Super-fun read. A bit of romance, a lot of action, fabulous these of creating our reality. I enjoyed it so much I immediately downloaded and read the sequel.
