"Awaken is a gift to the spiritual awakening through direct and immediate contact with awakeners. A very special contribution to our conscious evolution."
- Barbara Marx Hubbard
"Awaken is a spiritual experience that ignites that place deep within that has been yearning to be touched."
-Patricia, CA
"An enlightened message (this is “The” message) delivered by “awake” beings, as if they are speaking directly and personally to you...with expansive visuals and glorious music that captures the sheer joy of being...we truly ARE all we seek."
-Barbara Morrow, Santa Fe, NM
"Awaken is a beautiful, heartfelt “wake-up call” for humanity. It provides sustaining words of hope amidst the current chaos and catastrophe. It illustrates in a very illuminating and powerful way that we can all let go of our walls and limitations NOW, and join a global family consisting of empathetic human consciousness. The film blends stunning imagery with poignant documentary-style discussion, for a result that is both meditative and life changing. The message of the film is that we have what we need, right now, where we are. We don’t need to spend time, money, or resources to arrive at a better place. We only need to wake up to this new era. I anticipate that Awaken will become much more than just a film, but also a movement towards a more loving and sustainable Earth."
-Jocelyn Godfrey, President, Spiritus Communications, Inc.
"The air in the room crackled with energy and intimacy during the movie. The passion of the teachers was felt when they consistently reached out by making direct eye contact. It was as if each one was speaking to me personally and I felt known by the end of the film."
Karyn, NY
"This was a visually stunning movie, inspirational and a call to "wake up" to our higher self. The Awaken film, takes the approaching year 2012 from the perspective of personal and human/spiritual transformation. Through the words of visionary speakers and the breathtaking views of earth's nature, themes or invitations to openness emerge. These recurrent themes were of connection (our bio-energetic connection to everything and everyone), creativity, compassion, love, oneness and responsibility. With the expected cosmic shift, we are invited to transform ourselves."
-Nancy Restrepo-Wilson, NJ
"While watching the film “Awaken”, I could feel a powerful, magical energy filling the room – It was obvious that I was not the only one feeling energized and electrified listening to the Awaken teachers. The film has given me the next steps to take on my spiritual journey. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is on a spiritual path looking for guidance or anyone looking for greater spiritual awareness."
-Jennifer Gilmore, NY
In our modern, busy lives we tend to forget about the lunar orb that travels throughout our days with us. Indeed, many of us hardly notice it in the sky, and are unaware of the powerful effects it has on our physical world—not just the oceans and tides, but also on our soil and most plants. This slim, annual volume is packed with detailed, relevant lunar charts and straightforward tips for gardening in harmony with the moon: planting, treating, and harvesting, insecticides and fungicides, crop rotation, and composting. The best timing for beekeeping, wine growing, animal husbandry, and forestry is also noted, along with other more personal activities such as cutting your hair, skincare, and detoxing. A color coded daily diary in the back of the book lets you keep track of your organic gardening schedule. The astronomical research that has obviously gone into this book is impressive: a reminder that the practice of planting “in tune” with the moon is both a science and an art, and one that successfully guided many generations before us.

Each of the seven chapters focuses on a specific quality to cultivate, such as Mindfulness, Success, and Understanding. Buddhist Boot Camp is a quick read, written in accessibe language that offers timeless advice for living a more peaceful life. It is ideally suited for readers wanting a simple introduction to Buddhist teachings, or a concise reminder of them.
Dear Reader,
Once I finished the manuscript, What to Do When You're Dead: A Former Atheist Interviews the Source of Infinite Being, sent it to the publisher, and signed-off on the final edits, I didn't touch it again for months. But one night I started reading it for pleasure, and couldn't put it down.
What To Do When You're Dead is not only a book that touches your mind through your heart, but your heart through your mind. The riddles I work out with the Source of Being as my interviewee, will inhabit your imagination, enlarge your sense of yourself and the world around you. It will change the appearance of things and the boundaries between other things - like a stranger's body and the soul that inhabit's that body.
Think of this book as "Conversations with God" (Neale Donald Walsch, Hampton Rhodes, 1995), but with a woman former atheist, science and technology writer for industry asking the questions.
A reader who picks this book up will not sleep when they're supposed to; each page turn will wind the crank of your soul, drawing you deeper and deeper to an inner world of being. This being is that which lives beyond time and space, and dwells with spirit through the spaces between matter's molecular construct.
See some of my interviews here http://www.sondrasneed.com/press -- I can't wait to hear from you soon.
Ever so warmly,
Sondra Sneed - Godscribe
I wanted to allow plenty of time to read this book and write my review, but…well…I was in resistance. My "Ego-I" was evaluating the review before I even wrote it. The voices inside me were insisting that there wasn't enough time, that I waited too long to start, that I couldn't, or didn't want to write the review and therefore I was a failure. I was spending time not writing the review rather than writing it. How, and why does this happen? That's what this book will explain. The authors reveal the various forms resistance takes and how it operates, and offer methods to get us past the stuck places. If you're fed up with failing to relax more or eat better or start that exercise program or begin a meditation practice, this book will help you discover another way of being: choosing awareness, instead of resistance. Cheri Huber is the author of 21 books on Awareness Practice, including There is Nothing Wrong With You.
This a great little book for all parents out there who have middle school children and need help understanding the changes their child is going through. Written by King and Sollerh, it combines their wisdom gained from years of working with children, their parents, and their families.
This book contains heartfelt advice given in an easy-to-read style that any parent can dip into time and time again. Addressing challenges such as bullying, going on holiday, homework, risky behaviors, punishment, and how to cope when your child lies, this book uses real life anecdotes and practical examples that guide and support you through this challenging time.
King and Sollerh share a knowledge that will help parents and their children to move forward in their relationship with mutual respect and deeper understanding of each other. For all parents and family members who are wondering where their little angel went and what they can now do to communicate with the middle schooler that has taken their place, this is an invaluable resource.
Raymond Moody, the man who coined the phrase ‘near-death experience,’ became familiar with death at an early age, as a boy growing up during WWII. His interest took on a unique twist as a college student when he heard a lecture on near-death experiences. Though the phenomena fascinated the young man, he had no idea how common it was until some years later when lecturing philosophy. It wasn’t long before he decided to delve deeper and conduct his own research into the afterlife.
Drawing on a lifetime of personal scholarship, Moody presents the common factors that people encounter during a near-death experience, such as difficulty expressing the emotional experience, hearing themselves pronounced dead, feelings of peace, strange auditory sensations, the feeling of being drawn though a tunnel and meeting a being of light. His revelations about this life and the afterlife are interspersed with his own philosophical thoughts and his personal trajectory through life, including a compelling account of his own journey into his past lives through hypnotic regression.
Already renowned for his seminal work on reincarnation Life After Life Raymond Moody, along with author and expert on near-death experience, Paul Perry, brings a fresh perspective to the subject of death and the afterlife based on his own personal encounters. This is a thrilling journey to the edge of death and beyond. Whether or not you are new to the notion of near-death experiences, this book will change your perspective on death and dying.
I highly recommend this well-researched, well written book on the fascinating connections between science and spirituality.
Jake's message is simple and inspiring--live your best life now! Into the Wind is an engaging read, from a viewpoint that we don't get to hear often (that of an enlightened, on purpose 21 year old American). I highly recommend that you pick this book up right now and give yourself the gift of a fresh perspective from a beautiful Being!
James A. Cusumano has had an interesting, diverse, and lucrative work/career life: he says that he is now in the midst of his “fifth professional life.” In his teens he was a rock star, then a scientist and corporate research executive with Exxon, then co-founder and chairman of a (very successful) Silicon-Valley-based company, then founder, CEO, and executive producer of a feature film company, and currently he and his wife have purchased and renovated a castle in Prague, which has become an internationally recognized castle hotel and spa. As he says, he has learned some things along the way, and in this book he shares “the fruits of his journey.” Although his expertise is in business, it seems that throughout he has stayed true to himself, and managed to balance meaning, fulfillment, and success in both this personal and business life.
The first part of “Balance,” naturally, is autobiographical, from childhood to today, written with a lively and self-aware style. He gives just enough background for readers to get to know him, without being self-serving. This intriguing journey alone makes the book worth picking up. Part II offers a “formula” for creating a fulfilling life: addressing the critical issue of how to achieve balance in both personal and professional life. This is the heart of the book, and James is both a great role model and dynamic cheerleader for uncovering profound principles for living what he calls our “Essence.” Drawing from his own experiences—the cross-roads he encountered, learning how to listen to the wise counsel of others, honoring his own inner essence compass—he provides a step-by-step formula for identifying and capturing your own essence.
Finally, in the third part of the book, he explains how to build a successful business while achieving balance in professional and personal life. Each step is based on “Inspirational Leadership” (also sometimes called Conscious Leadership) and he shows in detail what this entails and how it leads to an organization that is personally rewarding, commercially advantageous, and socially responsive.
Cusumano is by no means typical, and as each of his business successes built upon the other, doorways opened for him that would not be available to most of us in the non-business world (really, how many of us could afford to buy a castle?). However, his life is his message, and he has succeeded in large part because of his own initiative and unwavering commitment to business and personal excellence. Passion and purpose drive him, and by all accounts he seems to embody unlimited energy and joyous enthusiasm for making the word a better place. "Balance" seems to be the latest in a long line of flourishing enterprises that do just that.
I’ve just had the rare experience of reading a book and finishing it cover-to-cover, in the middle of my work day! The book, The Honeymoon Effect, is the latest offering from my dear friend and spiritual brother Dr. Bruce Lipton, and once I started reading I couldn’t stop until I reached the last page. While I love all of Bruce’s books, I especially love this one for two reasons:
it’s quick, to the point, and easy to read
it gives our minds the keys to apply what our heart already accepts: the fact that sustained love is the secret to a thriving life, true happiness, and our sense of vitality and well being
While the experience of love itself is almost universal, we all experience it a little differently. The Honeymoon Effect is a roadmap of stories and experiences that lead us to discover where our unique and personal experience of love meets the reality of the real world. In this book, Bruce has absolutely nailed the path to this most powerful place. I love this book and I know that you will too!
“Every meal-any meal, no matter how humble- can offer the opportunity for deeper connection…”

If George and Sedena Cappannelli are an example of what social and spiritual awakening among the over-50 set can look like, there's hope for this old world yet. Rather than seeing the years after 50 as a time of decline, they argue that these years can be embraced as a time of harvest of accumulated wisdom and an opportunity for redesigning and replanting one’s garden for the second half of life. The suggestions they give are not a one-size-fits-all, and I think were intended to be more indicative than prescriptive.
I suppose for those of us who missed out on the psychedelic scene, suggesting drugs today as a way to loosen up one's spirituality can be a bit off-putting, but it is a small annoyance and doesn't detract from the importance of their main message, which is calling on pre- and post-boomers to wake up to their power and responsibility to demand and embody change. Their book is part inspirational workbook, part sociopolitical education, and part revolutionary manifesto. Let's hope for all our sakes, that it is also a harbinger of a real awakening to action by a demographic that has the time, resources and guts to lobby for change, and the wisdom to envision solutions that work for all.
It's About You! is the first book of a trilogy. This first book is about Knowing your Self and it aims to take you on a journey of self-discovery. Encompassing teachings from science, psychology, philosophy, metaphysics and spirituality, Johnson has written a comprehensive book to help readers clarify their purpose in life.
Part one of It's About You!: Knowing Your Self looks at consciousness and the non-physical you including chapters on reawakening to intent, formation of the non-physical you, and your natural powers. Part two takes us into the realm of consciousness and the physical you from your subconscious to your ego and your personality. Part three looks at the creational keys to your physical experience including your truths, your beliefs and your thought processes.
Packed with information and advice on how to manage the key areas of your life, Johnson has written an astounding book that will really sing to your soul and help you to live a more joyful life. He draws on the teachings of 'channeled guides' including Seth, Abraham and Elias which makes for extremely interesting reading. Johnson himself works as a transpersonal teacher and has explored in depth the information contained within various metaphysical sources including The Seth Material.
If you like this book, you can read further titles to aid you on your personal journey. Look out for the second book in the trilogy, Free Your Self, and the third, Live Your Purpose.
“What is the spiritual path, who else is on it, and where does it lead?” With a clarity and succinctness rarely provided by other authors, Jan Phillips answers these and other questions to define the contemporary spiritual path. The spiritual path is “simply a journey of awareness through the landscape of our lives,” she tells us plainly, “a pilgrimage inward where the destination is awareness.” Her language is straightforward yet elegant, and she uses familiar road sign analogies to frame the core concepts of the path, such as: “stop”—taking time for balance; “yield”—the surrender that gives rise to bearing fruit; or “curves ahead”—the spiritual path is never a straight road. For those who have broken free of traditional religion and are searching for their spiritual groundings she points out that “we are the sacrament-makers of these times,” and that “people on a spiritual path are just like everyone else, minus the illusions.” And seasoned seekers will recognize these and other markers of the journey: the daily commitment to peace, embracing mystical paradox, self-forgiveness, compassion, harmonious relationships, and “moments of enlightenment strewn like jewels along the spiritual path.” Although the pathway may not be new, this upbeat book is an innovative road map marking the terrain of spiritual consciousness in the 21st century.
