I adore the writing of Madeleine L'Engle. I read the Wrinkle in Time books multiple times as a child. When I reread as an adult, I was delighted with the beautiful writing and deeply mystical elements of the books.

If you read these as a child and want more L'Engle, I recommend her Crosswick Chronicles starting with Circle of Quiet. See how an author, wife, mother, store-owner made it all work.
